SPECIFICATIONS: ELECTRICALLY HEATED WINDOW FILM
Seaclear's patented electrically heated window film consist of a clear conductive coating on a PET substrate.
More specifically, the substrate is a polyester film which has been sputter coated with Indium Tin Oxide (ITO). The film has been hardcoated to minimize scratching and will not yellow or fade with age. Voltage is delivered via printed bus bars. A temperature control unit is mounted on the film and is housed in an aluminum enclosure.
All electrical specifications are in direct coloration to the size and aspect ratio of the film. With sheet resistance being stable, power will diminish as the sheet size becomes larger. Therefore, to maintain known performance criteria, sheet resistance or voltage will often need to be adjusted to accommodate for this. The figures below are simply guidelines.
